Scheduling Recordings with Total Recorder (Standard and Pro Editions)

Both the Standard and Professional Editions of Total Recorder have sophisticated scheduling capabilities. With the Standard Edition, any number of schedules may be defined. Future Recordings or Playbacks may be performed once or on an ongoing basis. Starting and ending times are defined in the schedule and file names are specified. File names may be individually specified or the user can accept names automatically generated and based on the time and date of the recording.

The Professional Edition scheduler builds on the functionality provided in the Standard Version of the product. The Professional Edition scheduler includes:

• A mini-browser that removes the requirement to leave your usual browser active and on the site that you wish to record. Use of the mini-browser allows users to browse and pre-select links they would like to record. At the scheduled time, Total Recorder Professional will activate the link and record the requested broadcast.
• The ability to automatically connect and disconnect to the Internet (dial-up connections). This feature eliminates the need to leave the PC connected to the Internet, when a recording is scheduled.
• The ability to start other programs (not just a browser) at the same time the schedule starts.
