U.S. Customs Service Chooses Dictation Buddy

August 24, 2001

High Criteria announced today that the U.S. Customs Service, Office of Internal Affairs (USCS-OIA) has acquired an undisclosed number of licenses for its Dictation Buddy audio recording software.

According to a Customs Service official, the agency had previously used cassette tape recorders and had also tried hand-held digital recorders. But they liked Dictation Buddy because it integrated right into their PCs. This convenience eliminated the hassles of recording cassettes and the limitations on recording time that come with digital recorders. Other software solutions were considered, but they were far more complex and expensive than Dictation Buddy.

"Our agents do a lot of recording in the field, so we need an easy and dependable solution. I tried out Dictation Buddy and it worked well, so we decided to put it on the other PCs that we have here." stated an agency official.

High Criteria offers a number of recording solutions for the PC environment. Further information about High Criteria or this announcement may be obtained by contacting High Criteria at sales@highcriteria.com or at 905-686-2285.
