High Criteria Announces Total Recorder Standard Edition V3.4

High Criteria Inc. Announces the Immediate Availability of Total Recorder Standard Edition V4.0.

High Criteria Inc, a world leader in computer audio recording systems, today announced the immediate availability of a new version of its flagship product, Total Recorder V3.4. Both the Standard Edition and the Developer Edition have been upgraded.

Total Recorder V3.4 continues to build on the proven reliability and functionality of previous Total Recorder releases. This version introduces a number of feature enhancements including:

  • The ability to adjust the recording level in Software mode. This is independent from the sound card provided mixer and may give the user some control over the sound level where the mixer cannot be used.
  • A new option that allows users to retain the time gaps between sound streams. In some applications (many screen readers for the visually impaired, some software sound synthesizers, slide shows), developers expect these gaps in time to be present and applications or presentations are designed with these delays in mind. This new option, allows the user to specify that Total Recorder should retain the entire time delay associated with the gaps, within the recorded file.
  • Total Recorder V3.4 also introduces a number of minor fixes as well as some new diagnostic facilities.

Total Recorder 3.4 is immediately available and may be downloaded and purchased from the High Criteria Web Site at www.highcriteria.com. 

Version 3.4 is available, free of charge, to purchasers of previous versions of Total Recorder. Existing customers may download and install the new version. Version 3.x registration keys are valid for version 3.4. If any 3.x version is already installed, users don't need to uninstall it, just run Setup.exe. Setup will remove the previous version, and will preserve all the settings, including the registration key.

If a user has a version 1.x or 2.x copy of Total Recorder, then they must obtain a new registration key by using the self-service registration key management system. This system uses the email address under which the product was originally purchased. If this email address is no longer valid, then users requiring a new key should email High Criteria at support@highcriteria.com. Users should specify their registration name and E-mail address from the time of registering and their new E-mail address.
