High Criteria Announces Total Recorder V3.2

High Criteria Inc Announces the Immediate Availability of Total Recorder Version 3.2

May 9, 2001

High Criteria Inc, a world leader in computer audio recording systems, today announced the availability of the newest version of its flagship product, Total Recorder.

Total Recorder V3.2 continues to build on the proven reliability and functionality of previous Total Recorder releases. This version introduces new features that:

  • eliminate gaps in recording, usually caused by network delays,
  • provides for a "Pre-Record" facility where a pre-set amount of recording is buffered, prior to the user hitting the record button. This feature allows the user to evaluate whether they want to record, before they are required to actually hit the record button, and
  • allows for the editing of ID3v2 tags.

Total Recorder 3.2 is immediately available and may be downloaded and purchased from the High Criteria Web Site.

Version 3.2 is available, free of charge, to purchasers of previous versions of Total Recorder. Existing customers may download and install the new version. Version 3.x registration keys are valid for version 3.2. If version 3.0 (or 3.0.1) is already installed, users don't need to uninstall it, just run totrec32.exe. Setup will remove the previous version, and will preserve all the settings, including the registration key.

If a user has a version 1.x or 2.x copy of Total Recorder, then they must obtain a new registration. Users may use the self-service registration key management system or they may email High Criteria at support@highcriteria.com. Users should specify their name and E-mail address from the time of registering. Also, users should specify their new E-mail address, if it has changed.

Please contact High Criteria at sales@highcriteria.com for further details.
