High Criteria Inc. Announces the Immediate Availability of Dictation Buddy V2.2 Software Application

June 18, 2002

High Criteria Inc, a world leader in PC based audio recording systems, today announced the immediate availability of Dictation Buddy Version 2.2.

Dictation Buddy V2.2 introduces a number of new features that will be of interest to those who want to use their PCs to perform dictation and transcription tasks or those who want to record phone conversations onto a PC's hard-drive. Dictation Buddy is the ideal solution for recording telephone calls, recording conversations, taking dictation and making transcriptions. New features include:

  • Foot control support. Dictation Buddy now provides foot pedal function controls. A USB or game port style foot pedal may now be used with Dictation Buddy to control the application functions such as Play, Pause, Rewind and Fast Forward. The foot pedal support compliments the existing support for controlling functions through the keyboard. Foot pedal functions may be customized according to the user's requirements.
  • Enhanced playback features. Dictation Buddy now allows the user greater control over the speed at which recordings are play. The user can now replay a recording as slow as half normal speed or as fast as twice normal speed. Speed settings may be altered through the keyboard or with the use of a mouse.
  • Voice Modem Support. Dictation Buddy now supports recording through standard voice modems.

When used with the CRD-110 PC to phone connecting jack adaptor, Dictation Buddy can be used to record telephone calls in a home or small office environment. High Criteria also offers other connecting adaptors for digital phone environments. Follow this link to obtain additional information on how to connect your phone to your PC. The CRD-110 device may be purchased in a bundle with a Dictation Buddy software license. Follow this link to purchase the CRD-110 / Dictation Buddy bundle.
