Total Recorder lets you record
anything including capturing streaming audio (from Real Player or
Windows Media Player, mic input, line-in input, DVDs or CDs),
Internet telephone calls or any other sound passed through PC. You
can also use Total Recorder's built-in scheduler to connect to your
favorite radio station automatically while your computer is in
standby or hibernate mode. In addition to the recording ability,
Total Recorder offers a variety of editing, mixing, analyzing and
other sound processing possibilities. The resulting files can be
saved to various audio files (uncompressed wav PCM, WMA, MP3 and
other popular sound formats).
Total Recorder supports free and trial
add-ons that can be used to improve the quality of your cassette or
vinyl records and voice dictating tremendously, accomplish automatic
gain control, apply an equalizer, send your recordings to
iTunes/iPod and others.
Version 7.0 Standard Edition contains
new features including:
- The ability to export/import Total Recorder's configuration
settings or scheduled jobs. This is useful if you need to
reinstall your system, move Total Recorder from one computer to
another, or for backup purposes.
- Tags for RIFF files are now supported. This allows you to work
with tags for WAV files, for example, in the same manner as MP3
files.
- You can rename files from a playlist using tag information.
- Improvements when working with playlists. For example, you can
use drag-and-drop to move files in playlists.
- Other minor enhancements.
